District 1: the council seat, the map, and who answers for your streets
Vacaville elects six council members by district and a mayor citywide. District 1 is one of those six seats, and right now Roy Stockton holds it, first elected on November 3, 2020.
That seat is one vote out of seven. It can’t fix a pothole alone or approve a project alone, but it can put a question on the record, ask staff for a report, and vote on every budget and zoning item that reaches the dais. This section tracks that work for District 1 residents, without the campaign voice.
Start by confirming your district. Lines follow the adopted district map, not neighborhood names, so check the City of Vacaville council page rather than guessing from your street. The council page also lists each member’s public contact line; for District 1 that’s (707) 432-8928.
Coming up on the desk: a plain guide to getting started with District 1 issues, and the mistakes residents make most often with public comment.
