Who reads the site

Readers come here to understand Vacaville City Council decisions and District 1 issues. They’re residents, homeowners and renters, parents, small business owners, neighborhood leaders and people who show up to Tuesday council meetings. Many arrive from search with a specific question about a road, a budget or a project near them.

We don’t publish traffic claims we can’t back up. If you’re considering a placement, ask and we’ll share current figures from our analytics directly.

Formats

• Leaderboard (728×90): under the navigation and between article sections.
• Square (300×250): in the sidebar and inside long articles, never above the headline.
• Skyscraper (160×600): sticky sidebar on desktop.
• Sponsored articles: labeled “Sponsored” above the headline, with the sponsor named. They don’t appear in civic sections as if they were desk reporting.

Editorial independence

Advertisers don’t review, shape or approve District One Desk coverage. We won’t run ads that imitate city notices or official City of Vacaville branding, and we don’t accept placements that attack private residents.
