Who writes the District One Desk

One byline, one checklist, and a disclosed pen name.

The District One Desk publishes under one byline, Daniel Foster. It’s an editorial pen name used by the StocktonForVacaville.com content team, and we say so on every author box rather than inventing a person with a stock photo.

Using one name keeps the voice and the method consistent. Every piece under that byline starts from a public document and works through the same questions: what is being decided, who has authority, who is affected, what it costs, and when residents can speak.

Campaign archive material isn’t written by the desk. It comes from Roy Stockton’s campaign and is labeled that way.
